- ➤ The Clarksville Police Department is accepting applications for its free Citizens’ Police Academy Class #51, a ten-week program running Tuesday nights from March 3 to May 7 with hands-on police training (applicants must be 18+, hold a high school diploma, and attend all sessions). HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A Vanderbilt Health study found that cancer survivors with CHIP (a genetic mutation) had a higher risk of heart problems after treatment, and the findings support testing for CHIP before treatment to better monitor heart health. The research used data from Middle Tennessee patients to compare outcomes after cancer care. WGNS

- ➤ Clarksville will host the BlueCross State Championship Basketball Tournament at F&M Bank Arena March 5-7, where eight top high school teams will compete and up to 14,000 visitors are expected to boost local businesses. ClarksvilleNow.com
- ➤ Montgomery Central hosted its first Immanuel Gilmore JV County Championships on Monday in Cunningham where 123 wrestlers from eight schools competed for podium spots and celebrated Gilmore (paralyzed last season).
