- ➤ Dr. Stephen Kershner of APSU earned a national award at the AIA and SCS meeting held Jan. 7-10 for his creative teaching in classics. He uses small-group sessions to help students think clearly and build new skills (uplifting many in our community). Clarksville Online
- ➤ Pleasant View Christian School celebrated the opening of a new building for its Early Learning Academy on Jan. 21, marking the campus' first new construction since 1984. The building will serve children ages two to four and support further growth for the school. Main Street Clarksville

- ➤ Austin Peay adds a new women’s lacrosse team starting in February with coach Melissa Rausch leading an 18-freshman-heavy squad.
