- ➤ Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library will host a free Harry Potter celebration on Feb. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m., where guests can enjoy Hogwarts-themed activities including a Sorting Hat Ceremony, craft sessions, trivia challenges, a wand shop, and a costume contest (costumes encouraged). - ➤ Austin Peay mourns the loss of President Emeritus Dr. Sherry Hoppe (its first female president) who died Jan. 25. A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 1 at the Anglican Church of the Redeemer, and she is remembered for guiding the university through financial challenges and expanding campus programs. - ➤ SNAP recipients who lost food during power outages or household emergencies may get replacement benefits added to their current EBT card via the One DHS Customer Portal. - ➤ Two APSU nursing professors showed that unresolved grief can weaken the immune system by raising inflammation and causing chronic stress — a physical toll that calls for compassionate care.
