Charlie Koon spoke with interim director Dawn Sanders-Garrett on the latest episode of Clarksville Conversations, outlining plans to rebuild or renovate Lincoln Homes by demolishing outdated buildings and modernizing others using federal RAD conversion and tax credits to keep housing stable and boost the local economy.
On Friday, Feb. 6, local safety agencies and the Titans joined to remind Clarksville drivers not to drink and drive ahead of Super Bowl weekend—troopers will enforce DUI rules on game day and urge everyone to choose a sober ride.

APSU professor Frank Ferdik is co-leading a two-year international study on public safety leaders' mental health to develop effective support practices, funded by a $200K (Canadian government) grant that will guide local agencies in building stronger leadership resilience.

The APSU women's lacrosse team won its inaugural game Saturday, staging a comeback to beat Gardner-Webb 15-14 at Fortera Stadium in Clarksville — the win marked a historic start and they will play Furman on Feb.
20 at Paladin Stadium.
The Govs beat North Alabama 91-62 on Saturday at F&M Bank Arena (record crowd of 4,136) to hold an 11-1 ASUN record and a two-game lead over Lipscomb, and they will play Queens in Charlotte next.
Rossview Hawks bounced back on Friday to beat the Northeast Eagles 81-56 at Rossview High School.
Jiyair Rose led with 23 points + the team now prepares for district matchups with Kirkwood and Clarksville High next week.
On Feb. 7, Tennessee basketball faced Kentucky at Rupp Arena in Lexington at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The Vols, riding a four-game win streak, played a matchup where Kentucky was favored by 1.5 points & had won their recent head-to-head contests.
Ellie Hankemeier scored 37 points in a 55-26 win over Northeast on Friday, Feb.
6, earning her a spot in Rossview’s 1,000-career-points club as the team celebrated Senior Night.
APSU men's golf team begins its spring season in Puerto Rico by competing at Palmas Del Mar Collegiate from Sunday to Tuesday.
The team, led by Patton Samuels who averaged 70.25 last fall, will start the event with a 6:30 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on the Flamboyan Course.
