- ➤ The library advanced from Bronze to Gold level certification through the Green Certification Program and improved energy, water, and waste practices at its Main Library and North Branch (including a Booktique for donated items). - ➤ The APSU men's golf team shot a 15-over 303 in the opening round of the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate on Sunday at Palmas Del Mar Golf Club in Humacao, Puerto Rico, and will begin the second round at 6:30 a.m. CT today, paired with Michigan, Rutgers and Wofford. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Over 100 wrestlers from 13 schools competed Saturday afternoon at the TSSAA Class A Region 7 Boys Wrestling Championships at Pat Head Summitt Gymnasium (in Ashland City). Top wrestlers will advance to the sectional tournament in Millington, with a state championship in Franklin scheduled for Feb. 20-21. Main Street Clarksville
- ➤ TSSAA basketball district tournament in Division II-A (today) kicked off in the Nashville area with scheduled matchups at 6 p.m., and state tournaments will follow in March including Division II in Clarksville and Division I in Murfreesboro. The Leaf Chronicle
- ➤ APSU women's tennis swept Belmont Bruins 7-0 at the Evansville Tennis Center Sunday and will face Vanderbilt Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Lummis Family Tennis Center in Nashville. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Mount Juliet Middle School Golden Bears defeated Richview Middle School Cowboys 57-48 on Saturday by an 11-0 run in the fourth quarter to clinch the region 6-3A title.
