- ➤ APSU used a $2.5-million federal grant to launch a Career Readiness Academy that trained 16 faculty to embed job competencies in courses. - ➤ Senior Sydney Freeman broke the APSU track 5K record with a time of 17:27.14 on Friday at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center in Nashville — the previous mark had been 17:37.30, and APSU athletes will continue competing at the challenge and Samford’s Bulldog Open in Birmingham on Saturday. - ➤ Friendship Christian ended a 15-year drought with a 65-60 win over Goodpasture Saturday in the Division II-A District 4 finals and won their first district title since 2013.
