Bi-County Solid Waste Management will host a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, March 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the back parking lot of Veterans Plaza (350 Pageant Lane), where residents can safely dispose of unwanted chemicals and automotive fluids.

Candace Payne’s home on Elberta Drive flooded three times in two years, prompting her to urge city action.
The city purchased her property in November 2025 and plans to demolish the affected homes by summer 2026, paving the way for a future green space park as community members rallied to support her.
Clarksville’s City Employees Service Pin Breakfast honored 40-year veteran Michael Cayce and other long-serving staff on Tuesday, March 3 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
Mayor Pitts, presiding for the final time, lauded the team’s dedication + thanked them for their service.

Austin Peay women's basketball beat top-seeded Eastern Kentucky 45 to 41 in the ASUN Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday.
Anovia Sheals scored 19 points + Jim'Miyah Branton added 14 as the team now prepares to face Stetson in the semifinals on Saturday.
The Henry County Lady Patriots took a 44-30 win over the Clarksville Lady Wildcats in the Region 7-4A title game held at West Creek High School on Wednesday.
The Wildcats will face the Panthers at Bartlett High School on Monday for a chance to advance to the state tournament.
JPII advanced to the state championship after Trey Pearson scored 25 points in a 66-55 win on March 5 at F and M Bank Arena (his first game since injury).
The Knights will meet the winner of Knoxville Catholic and Briarcrest in Saturday’s contest in Clarksville.
Austin Peay Govs, the 2 seed in the ASUN Tournament, will play Stetson today at 4 p.m. at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville after earning a first-round bye.
They have beaten Stetson twice this season and will advance to the semis if victorious.
Longtime Nashville area coach Marty Euverard (a Tennessee Football Coaches Association Hall of Famer) was named Providence Christian Academy's head football coach on Thursday, Mar.
5. He replaces Lebron Ferguson, who resigned in February after leading the team to playoff appearances in its first three TSSAA seasons.
On March 5, Liberty Creek’s girls basketball team overcame a three-quarter deficit—with a 23-point surge in the fourth—to win its first Region 5-3A championship.
