  • Seventeen-year-old Immanuel Gilmore, who was paralyzed during a wrestling match, is receiving treatment at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta while a comedy fundraiser and silent auction will be held on Sunday, March 30 at 4 p.m. at the Real Life Sango Church Auditorium to help with his recovery—community members are also raising funds in Brownsville and Nutbush to build a statue honoring Tina Turner.  NewsChannel 5
  • Clarksville’s Manna Café receives a $10,000 grant from O’Reilly Automotive Foundation to support its Food Distribution program that collects rescued food and provides heavy food boxes three times a week for people in need. The program distributed over 26,000 carts last year — helping to make more than 1.6 million meals available to local residents.  ClarksvilleNow.com

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Clarksville Gas and Water Department closed Needmore Road from Turner Lane to Lark Drive today for water main leak repair and set a detour along Turner Lane and Lark Drive while water service was turned off on Needmore, Keyland, Cory, Derby, and Delray until repairs finish by 10:00pm—motorists are urged to drive cautiously and use alternate routes.  Clarksville Online

SPORTS NEWS

  • The APSU baseball team won both games of a doubleheader on Friday at Joe Maynard Field as Ray Velazquez hit his first career home run in Game 1 and a walk-off RBI in Game 2. The Govs will face Lipscomb again in the series finale on Sunday at 2:00 pm — they aim to build on their strong start.  Clarksville Online
  • On Friday, March 14th, 2025, the Tennessee men’s basketball team, seeded fourth with a 25-6 record, played Texas in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The contest came after a 75-65 regular season win over South Carolina and was shown live on ESPN—marking another key moment in the team’s postseason run.  Clarksville Online
