  • Today, Jim ‘N Nick’s Community Bar-B-Q — known for its award-winning barbecue — opened its new Clarksville location at 111 Airborne Center Road where local officials like Councilman Jimmy Brown and Chamber of Commerce Chairman Mike Rainey celebrated the event. The restaurant donated $2,500 to YAIPAK and plans to expand with more locations soon.  Clarksville Online

CRIME NEWS

  • The Clarksville Police are asking for public help in locating 53-year-old Marshall Greenlaw who was last seen on March 10th at 8:00 p.m. at his home on Peachers Mill Road and is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 170 pounds, bald with a beard—if anyone sees him, call 911 immediately.  Clarksville Online

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Austin Peay State University in Clarksville is considering a 5% increase in undergraduate tuition and fees for the upcoming academic year—this increase, which is below the 6.5% maximum set by the commission, is intended to cover rising salary and contract costs. The APSU Board of Trustees will discuss the proposal on April 11—public comments can be submitted until April 9.  ClarksvilleNow.com

  • On March 25th, Clarksville honored 46 local Medal of Honor recipients at Governor’s Square Mall—bringing together the 101st Airborne Division and the 5th Special Forces Group during a tribute and community reception that celebrated local military valor and history.  Clarksville Online

SPORTS NEWS

  • After the 2024-25 girls' basketball season ended, local players were honored with the Clarksville Now All-Area Girls’ Basketball Team and a Player of the Year award. Malon Smith of Clarksville High, who led her team by averaging 20.3 points per game, was named Player of the Year—she will continue her career at Walters State Community College.  ClarksvilleNow.com
