- ➤ Today, the Clarksville Gas and Water Department turned off water on Kingsbury Road and Kingsbury Drive from Kingsbury Court to the end of the street for a water main leak repair—low water pressure may affect nearby homes. The repair work is expected to finish by 9:00 p.m. today. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Vince Caira of the Woodstock neighborhood said his street flooded six weeks ago and he fears further flooding as heavy rain is forecast tonight—he said city officials promised a gravity-fed drain system three years ago but never acted. The City of Clarksville is checking stormwater structures and distributing sandbags as up to 10 inches of rain is expected between tonight and Sunday morning. WSMV 4
- ➤ Clarksville city leaders are preparing for heavy rain today that is expected to continue into Sunday as the Street Department — with about 50 of its 100 workers on standby— begins filling sandbags, clearing drains, and readying road closures in at-risk north and northwestern areas. Residents are urged to clear debris from their drains and may call the Street Department for sandbags if needed. WKRN
- ➤ The Tennessee Department of Transportation warned that text messages claiming unpaid toll road charges are part of a nationwide scam targeting Tennesseans. The agency said current roads are not tolled—though they will seek public feedback this summer on planned voluntary fee-based choice lanes along I-24 from Murfreesboro to Nashville. WKRN
