- ➤ After last month’s flooding, Clarksville residents are worried as the Red River is expected to keep rising through the weekend. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecasts the water will reach 45.1 feet on Sunday and residents like Harold Dennis on Dunbar Cave Road have prepared sandbags to protect their homes. - ➤ The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is managing water levels on the Cumberland River as heavy rain brings more storms this weekend by releasing 64,000 CFS at Old Hickory Dam—other dams are holding back water to limit the flow. However, water from Cheatham Dam is moving quickly and forecasts show the river in Clarksville will reach moderate flood stage over the weekend and into next week. NewsChannel 5

- ➤ The Clarksville Gas and Water Department has turned off water service on Downer Drive and Dalewood Drive from Downer Drive to Hillsboro Road for water main leak repair work—low water pressure may affect nearby customers and service is scheduled to resume by about 3:30 p.m. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Fort Campbell kicked off a major housing revitalization project today by demolishing a home — the first step in removing nearly 380 older houses and preparing to build 480 new energy-efficient homes for Junior Enlisted Soldiers and their families.
