ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • After 10 inches of rain fell overnight, flooding hit parts of Clarksville-Montgomery County and officials declared a state of emergency after over 120 homes and 14 businesses were impacted. Evacuations have begun in areas like the Farmington subdivision, and shelters at the Crow Recreation Center are open — local nonprofits and emergency teams are coordinating relief efforts.  The Leaf Chronicle
  • Last week, deadly storms in West and Middle Tennessee dumped over 12 inches of rain in some areas—one suspected EF-3 tornado in Selmer caused severe damage while officials began damage surveys and rain gauge checks.
