- ➤ The Davila family paddled their kayaks around rising water on Freestone Drive today as floodwaters surrounded their home. They will use the kayaks for at least a week since water levels remain high and cleanup is underway—showing how the family is adapting to ongoing flooding challenges. WSMV 4
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Clarksville Gas and Water Department will shut off water on Harper Road today at 8:00 a.m. for scheduled main maintenance and aims to restore service by about 3:00 p.m.—residents may experience low water pressure during the work. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Neighborhoods such as Woodstock, Elberta Drive + Freestone Court remained flooded after Saturday's storms and many residents could not return home. Mayor Joe Pitts said engineers are studying drainage in these areas and the city is considering asking FEMA to re-evaluate flood zones to help fix the ongoing problem. WSMV 4
- ➤ Today at 10:00 p.m. the Clarksville Gas and Water Department will turn off water on Lowes Drive between 2201 Lowes Drive and Trenton Road and on Trenton Road between Lowes Drive and Needmore Road for valve replacement work—low water pressure is expected. Water service will be restored by about 7:00 a.m. on April 10. Clarksville Online
