  • The American Legion CSM Gary W. Crisp Post 289 and Kenwood High School JROTC will host the annual Run in Our Boots 5K and 1-Mile Youth Run on May 17 at Kenwood High School to support local veterans and the JROTC program. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m.—runners will follow a course on campus while youth under 12 compete in a one-mile race.  ClarksvilleNow.com
  • Hands On and Community Action Agency will hold a spring-cleaning community day on April 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Old Fire House Day Shelter and Resource Center on Golf Club Lane in Clarksville—volunteers will deep clean spaces, prepare items for donation, trim shrubs, and clear gutters while wearing work-friendly clothing as the event is rain or shine.  ClarksvilleNow.com

  • LG Electronics plans a $100 million expansion of its Clarksville operations by building a new 560,000-square-foot warehouse north of its current factory with plans to add 80 employees — its design includes a refrigeration stub for future manufacturing — and construction will begin in June with completion in the third quarter of 2026.  ClarksvilleNow.com

EDUCATION NEWS

  • APSU hosted a Tri-Alpha induction that recognized 36 qualifying first-generation students—awarding them pins, cords, gift bags, and a catered buffet for their families. Asia Pace said the event is part of APSU’s plan to support nearly 40% of its students with programs that build academic success.  Clarksville Online
  • Three scouts from Troop 522—Logan Webb, Hayden Heberer, and Cody Carmon—earned the Eagle Scout rank after meeting tough merit badge, leadership, and service requirements; their achievement was celebrated at a Court of Honor at Hillcrest Baptist Church.  ClarksvilleNow.com

  • Montgomery County is hosting a flood recovery resource fair at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 at Kirkwood High School to help residents impacted by recent floods get temporary housing, cleanup, repair work and a free meal — the United Way and local nonprofits will be on hand to connect them to needed resources.  ClarksvilleNow.com
  • Montgomery County will hold a flood recovery resource fair at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 at Kirkwood High School to offer help to residents affected by the floods in mid-February and early-April. SPORTS NEWS

  • On April 10, West Creek and Rossview high boys’ soccer teams played a physical match that ended in a 0—0 tie as strong goalkeeping kept both teams scoreless.
