  • Today, Clarksville officials reported that severe flooding damaged over 220 homes while costly recovery steps are being planned—Rep. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A motorcyclist was flown to a Nashville hospital after a crash on Providence Boulevard at Power Street just before 2 p.m. Saturday, and officials said the vehicle driver was not injured while one lane in each direction remains open as investigators work the scene.  WSMV 4

  • Austin Peay State University’s Board of Trustees approved the naming of the Fortera Stadium lobby as the Fisher-Roberts Family Lobby to honor alumni Mary Fisher, Harold 'Red' Roberts and Stephanie Roberts.   • Former APSU cheerleader and biology major Gracey Suggs—a Clarksville native—was named Student Trustee by the APSU Board of Trustees at last Friday's meeting. She has led campus groups and plans to become a pediatric oncologist as she completes her studies.  Clarksville Online

  • Hundreds attended a ceremony at Wilma Rudolph Event Center where retiring CPD Chief David Crockarell stepped down and Chief Ty Burdine was sworn in today by Mayor Joe Pitts. Burdine said he will lead with humility and integrity — working to earn the trust of the community.  Clarksville Online

  • The FDA announced a voluntary recall after tests showed salmonella & listeria in over 1,000 lbs. of Blue Ridge Beef puppy and kitten mix sold from Jan. 3 to Jan. 24, affecting products sold locally and in other states. Pet owners were urged to return or safely dispose of the recalled food.  WKRN
