- ➤ Austin Peay State University's Department of Art and Design is hosting its 58th Annual Juried Student Exhibition from April 13 to 29 in The New Gallery, featuring 55 works by 45 students. - ➤ AAA reported that Tennessee gas prices rose three cents since last week, with the state average now at $3.88 (Clarksville recorded $3.89) and a 64-cent jump compared to a month ago. The increase added roughly $20 to a 15-gallon fill-up. Main Street Clarksville

- ➤ APSU has named Dr. Robert Baron as associate dean of the College of Arts & Letters effective Aug. 1. Baron, a communication professor since 2012, will chair curriculum committees, oversee adjunct onboarding, and mentor department chairs. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts and Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden are accepting applications for youth leadership programs that offer high school students a chance to learn about local government; applications for the Mayor's Youth Council are due May 1 and for the Emerging Leaders program through May 20 in the area. - ➤ Mayor Joe Pitts proclaimed April as National Cleaning for a Reason Month at Mugsy's Coffee on April 1. He presented the proclamation to Christina and Stevie Cowart of Your Happy House Cleaner, which is running a fundraiser to support free home cleanings for those undergoing cancer treatment. - ➤ Rossview beat Kirkwood two to one on Tuesday night when goalkeeper Pierce Grandy saved a penalty kick in the 72nd minute to give the Cobras their first loss, and head coach Seth Ramsey said the win could boost the season. Main Street Clarksville
