  • Disney on Ice shows Frozen and Encanto are playing at F&M Bank Arena from April 17 to 20 for $30 plus—offering adventures with Elsa and magical tunes—and a free Community Easter Egg Hunt with prizes and games will take place on April 19 from 2-4 p.m. at Lincoln Homes Family Engagement Center.  ClarksvilleNow.com

  • Michael Waltrip visited Clarksville for Austin Peay State University’s unveiling of Governor’s Golden Ale—a signature light beer developed with Joe’s Garage in partnership with the university—to honor local ties.   • Customs House Museum & Cultural Center announced its May schedule featuring a mix of exhibitions—like Narrative Moments: Photography from the Collection and Asia Mathis: Magnolia—and community events including the First Thursday Art Walk on May 1, a blood drive on May 16, and an I Heart My Museum Give-A-Thon from May 12 to 17. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Nathan Foster, a junior at South Haven Christian School, won first place in woodworking at the AACS National Competition held at Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. He competed against entries from 188 schools—marking his second consecutive win—in a contest held from April 8–10.  ClarksvilleNow.com

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • WeGo signed a contract with Anchor Transportation to improve its regional bus service outside the Nashville metro area, including Route 94 in Clarksville + routes in Gallatin, Dickson, Springfield, and Spring Hill. The Regional Transportation Authority approved the contract, which will take effect July 1 to boost service reliability and rider confidence.  NewsChannel 5

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed that two additional measles cases are recovering at home today — adding to a total of six confirmed cases in the state this year. Health officials say the cases are following quarantine guidelines after known exposure and report no evidence of sustained transmission.  Clarksville Online

  • On April 16th the West Creek Coyotes defeated Montgomery Central in overtime flag football—winning the rematch from last year’s championship and an undefeated regular season as they secured home-field advantage for the district playoffs.  ClarksvilleNow.com
  • On April 16, 2025, the Rossview High flag football team beat the Northwest Vikings 28-6 when four interceptions led to touchdowns by Kennedi Hill + Emmylou Meyer + Ataly Stewart, marking its first win of the season.   • Rossview High baseball resumed play after Monday’s game was stopped for severe weather — the Hawks beat the Wildcats 10-8 on April 16th.
