- ➤ CHA Executive Director Wanda Allen reported that four families displaced by the Summit Heights fire on March 6 have been moved into new units, with most staying within Summit Heights and one relocated to Greenwood—community donations helped provide food and essential items after they spent nearly a week in hotels. - ➤ Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts announced that Cameron O’Hanlon will serve as the first Executive Director of the Arts, Culture & Tourism Authority starting Monday, May 11, as he guides efforts to enhance local arts and build the new Performing Arts Center + community engagement across the city. - ➤ APSU’s reverse career fair allowed neurodivergent students to host tables for employers and practice interview skills today on campus. - ➤ Clarksville Community Theatre launches Riverkeeper’s Education Programs with summer theatre camps for young artists – camps run June 1–5 at Rossview High and June 15–19 at Northwest High from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Friday shows at 2 p.m.; classes are capped at 16 and fees start at $250. - ➤ The Tennessee Fish + Wildlife Commission set the 2026-27 hunting and trapping seasons at its April meeting at the UT Institute of Agriculture Plant Biotechnology Building in Knoxville.
