- ➤ Austin Peay State University and the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center received the 2026 Award of Excellence from the Tennessee Association of Museums for a student-led walking tour project launched in Spring 2025 that drew 150 attendees in historic downtown. - ➤ On April 23, city leaders honored more than 1,400 employees at the Cause for Applause dinner held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Mayor Pitts and department heads recognized Shining Stars, Rising Stars — and vital administrative staff — for their contributions to daily city operations. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Residents whose homes were damaged by the winter storm and received FEMA help can apply for a state sales tax refund up to $2,500 (covering qualifying repairs). Claims with receipts must be filed via the TNTAP website or by mail within one year of the FEMA decision letter. WSMV 4

- ➤ The Austin Peay women’s lacrosse team ended its inaugural season on Wednesday, Apr. 22 at Morgan Brothers Field, winning four games despite injuries.
