On May 10th at Duke Farm in Cumberland City, the Tri-County Sportsmen Association will host the First Annual Dalton Bradford Memorial Kids’ Fishing Rodeo from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Children will fish catch-and-release with free bait and limited rental fishing poles — a plan honoring Dalton Bradford’s love for the outdoors.

A summer fun guide will showcase events in Clarksville this season, featuring free art walks, live music, outdoor movie nights, and festivals scheduled from May until September 22.

At about 5:30 p.m. yesterday, first responders arrived at a house fire on the 1300 block of Dunbar Cave Road and officers controlled traffic — motorists were advised to use Moss Rd. and Ross Farms Blvd.

Austin Peay football player William Hardrick was killed by an alleged drunk driver on I-65 near Huntsville on Tuesday night, with Hardrick wearing a seatbelt as his car flipped several times+the crash closed nearly 30 miles of highway and the driver now faces a murder charge.

Jo Byrns High School’s softball team won its fifth straight district title by sweeping East Robertson in a best-of-three series—taking wins of 2 to 1 and 12 to 0.

The team will host Clay County in the Region 4-1A semifinals on May 12—moving on to the next round.

APSU junior Patton Samuels, a Clarksville native, was named ASUN Conference Golfer of the Year and earned First Team All-ASUN honors in his first season, becoming the first Gov to win this award since APSU joined the conference in 2022.

He qualified for the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship and will compete at the Urbana Regional May 12th to May 14th + teammate sophomore Seth Smith earned Third Team All-ASUN honors and secured consecutive tournament wins.
