  • Old Glory Distilling Co. hosted its Silo Park launch party today with live music by Britt Dignan, Wes Beeler and Sadie Fine, great food and summer cocktails. The venue will offer live music every Friday and Saturday — it will also host a Thursday farmers market in May featuring local farmers, artisans and vendors.  Clarksville Online

CULTURE NEWS

  • Construction on the Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum at Tiny Town Road and Highway 41A is moving steadily toward completion and will open in March 2026. The 40,000-square-foot facility, funded by public and private donors, will be gifted to the U.S. Army—making it open to the public and expected to draw 200,000 to 250,000 visitors annually while adding $17 million to $20 million to the regional economy.  ClarksvilleNow.com

  • Kenwood High School in Clarksville celebrated its prom on May 9—holding the dance at Valor Hall in Oak Grove.  ClarksvilleNow.com
  • APSU College of STEM announced its departmental award winners for the 2024-25 academic year, recognizing students in Agriculture, Biology and Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Engineering Technology, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics—Engineering and Astronomy. The Allied Health Sciences department will hold a pinning ceremony at 6 p.m. on May 16 in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.  Clarksville Online

  • The Clarksville Police Department’s K9s—Rizzo, Drako, Chase, Joker and Riggs—received new bullet and stab protective vests donated by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. that honor the legacy of K9 King.  Clarksville Online

  • At Springfield High School on Friday night, Kirkwood High softball won its first district championship when Moana Tuauaga hit a walk-off RBI single against the Rossview Hawks + head coach Keli Storz said the win proved a strong team culture in the program’s second year.  ClarksvilleNow.com
  • Clarksville baseball won its second consecutive Region 7-4A Tournament title by beating Rossview 13-3 after a Friday win over Henry County—ace Porter Murff started the championship game and allowed three runs on one hit. The Wildcats advance to the sectional round and will host a best-of-three series against the Region 8-4A second-place team—continuing their strong postseason run.  Main Street Clarksville
