- ➤ Wawa is set to open its first Clarksville store on June 18. The $7.5 million location will create 35 jobs and is part of a plan to bring 50 stores to the state — adding about 1,750 long-term positions. WSMV 4

- ➤ Gas prices statewide went up 12 cents last week to $4.15 per gallon before easing on the weekend, with Nashville showing the highest price at $4.19. - ➤ Ascension Saint Thomas will break ground on June 16 for a $148.5 million health campus at the future site on north side Highway 76 just past Interstate 24. - ➤ Officials warned April 29 that warmer weather is boosting tick activity in Tennessee from April to October in outdoor spots like tall grass, so Clarksville residents should use repellents+treated clothing and check for ticks after outdoor activities to reduce bite risks. The Leaf Chronicle
