Mike Sparks, former district attorney general Bill Whitesell, and Terri Sterling Donovan about the Child Advocacy Center's 25 years of service—last year the center served over 1,700 children and it plans to expand its space to meet growing community needs. - ➤ The Clarksville Downtown Market reopened on Mother’s Day weekend with about 100 vendors including farmers, artisans, and food and beverage concessionaires offering fresh produce, live music, and a petting zoo for visitors. Market Manager April Sialana said the event was well-attended and that the market will run every Saturday until Oct. 4 — applications for next season will be accepted that day. - ➤ The Clarksville Police Department arrested 35-year-old Matthew David Konen on Thursday, May 15—following a sealed indictment from the Montgomery County Grand Jury—in connection with a 2021 double homicide that took the lives of a woman and her father. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Matthew David Konen, a former Nashville Fire Department paramedic, is accused of killing his wife and father-in-law in a 2021 Clarksville case and was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder—he was booked into Montgomery County Jail on Thursday morning following his arrest in Sumner County. - ➤ A man died after being shot at the Summit Heights apartment complex on Paradise Hill Road Wednesday night—officers arrived just before 11 p.m. and found him with a fatal wound while detectives began their investigation. WKRN
- ➤ Police responded at about 10:51 p.m. Wednesday to a shooting in Summit Heights and found a man with a gunshot wound outside a residence in Clarksville — he later died from his injuries. ClarksvilleNow.com

- ➤ Ascension Saint Thomas has announced it will build a new 44-bed hospital with an emergency room on 96 acres at Exit 11 in Clarksville at the intersection of MLK Jr. Parkway & Interstate 24.
