- ➤ The National Weather Service issued severe storm watches early Friday and a level 4 alert was in place for the Nashville area as strong storms swept through Middle Tennessee overnight from Friday evening to Saturday morning — bringing heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, hail, and isolated tornado reports that prompted local authorities to urge residents to stay prepared. Vincent Dixie held a post session town hall on Wednesday to update Clarksville residents on new bills including the DEI law that limits hiring based on diversity factors and a constitutional amendment on bail reform.
