- ➤ Montgomery County became a Foster Friendly® Community on Monday, May 18 when a ribbon-cutting at Rotary Park’s Wade Bourne Nature Center marked its pledge to support foster children and families. - ➤ Montgomery County Parks and Recreation is hosting MoCo Movie Nights for free outdoor films this summer. The season, which began May 9 at RichEllen Park, will feature movies starting May 30 at Downtown Commons with more screenings scheduled through Aug. 29 (food will be available for purchase at each park). - ➤ The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library and The Wade Bourne Nature Center got Sensory Inclusive Certification from Kulture City, making them the first certified libraries in Tennessee to support visitors with sensory needs. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ TCAT Dickson and APSU signed an agreement that creates a nursing pathway by granting 27 credit hours to practical nursing graduates to earn a BSN faster. Students can apply for prerequisite courses in fall 2026 and begin nursing courses in fall 2027, with the first cohort graduating in spring 2029. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Austin Peay's Board of Trustees will meet on June 5 to consider a 3.23% tuition increase for undergraduates — a move aimed at managing rising costs and supporting enrollment growth.
