  • For over ten years, rows of combat boots have honored service members at Fort Campbell, and from May 19th to May 26th the boots will be on display one final time.   • Clarksville Fire Rescue and partner agencies resumed on-water search efforts today for the 12-year-old boy who was last seen at 1:45 p.m. Sunday near Billy Dunlop Park along Big West Fork Creek—operations had been paused by heavy rain and thunderstorms while Billy Dunlop Park and Robert Clark Park remain closed.  ClarksvilleNow.com

  • Austin Peay State University College of Arts and Letters announced its Distinguished Alumni Awards for 2024-25, naming Scotty Peek, Thomas Murphy, Jim Thweatt, Mike Gotcher, Rich Ripani and Drew McCollum for their outstanding achievements and community contributions. HEALTH NEWS

  • Cucumbers grown by Bedner Growers and sold by Fresh Start Produce Inc. are being recalled after a salmonella outbreak sickened 26 people in 15 states including Tennessee—where 1 to 2 cases have been reported. The recall covers cucumbers sold from April 29 to May 14 and the FDA advises consumers and businesses to discard any cucumbers of unknown origin.  The Leaf Chronicle

  • After enduring a no-hitter loss, an ace injury and two losing seasons, Liberty Creek baseball won its first state tournament game. The TSSAA announced it would launch a student advisory committee with 20 student-athletes this spring to give players a forum for sharing their input on sports issues.  Main Street Clarksville
  • The Clarksville Academy Cougars beat the Knoxville Grace Rams 4-2 today in an elimination game that sent them to their first state championship game. They will face Columbia Academy at 10 a.m. today at Middle Tennessee State University and must win twice to secure the title.  ClarksvilleNow.com
  • Donelson Christian Academy softball won its first Division II-A state title with a 4-3 win over Silverdale—freshman pitcher Bailey Goad threw 10 strong innings and sent in the winning run.
