  • Tennessee posted a 3.6% unemployment rate in April, unchanged from the previous month, as employers added 1,200 nonfarm jobs in construction, manufacturing + food services.   • On May 20, CMCSS held its Adult High School Graduation for the Class of 2026 at the APSU Dunn Center; students received diplomas at 12:00 p.m., turned tassels, and celebrated with family and friends (marking a significant milestone for the community).  Clarksville Online

  • Coyotes have become common in suburban areas around Clarksville as they adapt to urban habitats; wildlife experts advise residents to secure pet food (and avoid feeding them) and to stand their ground during encounters.  Clarksville Online

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • TDOT has planned roadworks from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29 on highways in Montgomery, Davidson, Dickson, and Robertson counties, which will cause lane closures and construction delays on I-24, I-40, I-65 and State Route 46 — drivers should use caution in work zones.  Clarksville Online
