CRIME NEWS

  • Police arrested 21-year-old Rico Ransom on Saturday night after he led a high-speed chase on Clarksville Pike in a black Dodge Challenger—he faces charges of felony evading, felony gun possession, and driving on a revoked license and is set to appear in Criminal Court on June 5 for a first-degree murder indictment linked to a 2019 shooting.  WKRN

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Montgomery County's unemployment rate fell to 3.0 percent in April from 3.4 percent in March according to data released by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD). Ninety-four counties in Tennessee saw rates dropping below 5 percent while only Unicoi County experienced an increase.  Clarksville Online

  • On May 8th, 2025, Clarksville Academy held its Annual Academic Awards Ceremony in the Activities Center and celebrated students for their academic, athletic, volunteer and leadership achievements.
