- ➤ Montgomery County Parks and Recreation will host the Downtown @ Sundown concert on Friday, June 6 at the Downtown Commons in Clarksville — the event features Kid Kentucky, a Kid Rock tribute band, with local singer Jay Ammo opening at 7:00 p.m. Riders from Bikers Who Care, YAIPak, and Appleton Harley-Davidson will start a Mini Toy Run at 6:00 p.m. along Hwy 41-A to deliver toy donations that will bring holiday cheer to local children — food and drink vendors will also offer options throughout the event. - ➤ A crash on Purple Heart Pkwy near Jordan Road on Wednesday at 11:20 a.m. left a 69-year-old front passenger dead in a Nissan Altima while the driver remains in critical condition and a third passenger is stable—two people in another vehicle suffered minor injuries, according to Clarksville police. - ➤ Authorities issued a Silver Alert for Johnny Amabile, a 60-year-old Montgomery County man last seen in Clarksville on May 7 and described as 5'10" tall with brown hair & brown eyes who walks with a cane and has a medical condition that may affect his safety; anyone with information is urged to call Clarksville Police at 931-320-4412 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. - ➤ A woman called 911 after being stabbed in an apartment on McCormick Lane early Thursday as officers found her on the roadway near the 2000 block and took her to a hospital for treatment—detectives are now investigating the incident. WSMV 4

- ➤ The Clarksville Street Department began Phase 2 of Spring Creek Parkway today as part of the $28 million Transportation 2020+ plan, adding a 4,500-foot roadway and a 681-foot bridge—named the Elester Garner Chapter of the Triple Nickel Bridge—to ease traffic for about 40,000 vehicles per day with work scheduled for completion in summer. - ➤ Ascension Saint Thomas—pending state approval—is planning to build a 44 bed hospital in Clarksville to ease residents' long drives to Nashville for surgeries and other care.
