- ➤ The Montgomery County Fair continues today at the Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds with carnival rides, games, pig races and duck fishing. - ➤ Austin Peay State University student-athletes recorded a 3.415 GPA in Spring, marking their 18th straight semester with a 3.0+ average. Ninety-five athletes earned a perfect 4.0 while nine teams reached a 3.5+ average, with coaches crediting the achievement to strong support and team effort. Clarksville Online

- ➤ The Clarksville Gas and Water Department turned off water service on part of Barge Point Road between 800 and 720 to repair a water main leak and expects to restore service by 3:30 p.m. Residents may experience low water pressure until the repairs are complete. Clarksville Online
- ➤ On Wednesday, May 27, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development hosted a meeting at Kimbrough Auditorium at Austin Peay’s Business Department in Clarksville to discuss Opportunity Zones 2.0. - ➤ The Asian longhorned tick, an invasive species first seen in Tennessee in 2019, has spread to grassy and wooded areas in Middle and East Tennessee where it may threaten livestock. - ➤ Clarksville High hired Charles Clark to lead its boys basketball team (replacing longtime coach Ted Young) per Wildcats athletic director Shannon Cummings today. - ➤ APSU track stars Mallory Hodge and Amani Sharif finished their season competing at the NCAA East First Round at the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex on Thursday.
