- ➤ A horrific crash occurred on Saturday, June 7 when a semi-truck overturned near the Dixie Bee Road overpass at I-24's mile marker 15 as emergency crews from several agencies rescued one passenger who was walking and took two hours to free a woman who was pinned, later transporting her in stable condition to Vanderbilt. - ➤ Three teens were arrested after a high-speed chase on Saturday as police pursued a stolen Acura MDX that left a 7-Eleven on White Bridge Road and sped along Briley Parkway before stopping on East Fairview Drive—authorities recovered a 9-millimeter handgun and a stolen wallet while charging Donald King, age 18, with auto theft, evasion and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two 17-year-olds with vehicle theft and evading arrest. - ➤ The first All White Party took place on Saturday, June 7th at Freedom Point in Liberty Park and featured music by DJ Sir Charles and a live performance by Tina Brown, marking Clarksville’s first all-white event on the river. - ➤ At Fort Campbell, the 101st Airborne Division unveiled a model of its Future Long Range Assault Aircraft on June 6th, 2025 in a ceremony with military leaders and industry partners. - ➤ Montgomery County Government introduced a resolution last week to reallocate funds for new fairgrounds, school repairs, and other capital projects while keeping the tax rate at $2.10 per $100 of taxable property in fiscal year 2025-26. The county commission will review the budget plan at 6:00 p.m. today at the County Courthouse — a move that aims to support community needs without increasing property taxes — as preparations continue for the coming fiscal year.
