- ➤ Downtown Clarksville gained a major boost when the Millan Public Parking Garage opened on Friday at 1 p.m. at 90 College St next to F&M Bank Arena; the five-level facility offers over 500 parking spaces, 16 electric vehicle charging stations, and reversible lanes, and it was built through a public-private partnership that saved $2 million. - ➤ Nearly 180 new laws will take effect in Tennessee on July 1 that address issues such as reproductive health, immigration, retail crime and artificial intelligence. The bills will protect access to fertility treatment, impose tougher penalties on retail crime and tighten immigration enforcement — measures state lawmakers say will reshape legal processes statewide — while also restricting international health mandates and offering tax credits for nuclear energy.
