  • The city council approved a budget that raises property tax by 4 cents and restores 16 new hires, while a FEMA Disaster Recovery Center opened to help residents with flood damage from early April and a new downtown parking garage now provides over 500 spaces. A Fort Campbell soldier was indicted for vehicular homicide in a wreck in October 2023, a Kewpie plant began making sauces for many across the country, the city will partner with nonprofits to offer transitional housing, Clarksville Fire Rescue urged residents to follow fireworks rules ahead of the Fourth of July, and a Q-Up the Classroom radiothon is set for July 24-25 — adding to a busy week in Clarksville.  ClarksvilleNow.com

  • The 2025 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageants kicked off on Friday night with swimsuit—sportswear—and evening gown competitions at Mabry Concert Hall at Austin Peay State University, where delegates from across Tennessee competed in the preliminary events organized by Greenwood Productions.  ClarksvilleNow.com
  • APSU’s Department of Art — now using the new CatalogIt digital system—is making nearly 1,000 artworks available online for students, staff and the public.   • Montgomery County chose Steve Batten as its new Emergency Management Director—Batten brings nearly 30 years of public safety experience from Clarksville Fire Rescue and FEMA— and will lead the county’s emergency management operations.  Clarksville Online
  • TDOT will suspend all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes from noon on Thursday, July 3 until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7—aiming to ease holiday travel for drivers. Motorists should note that work zones will still have workers on site with reduced speed limits enforced and fines for speeding.  Clarksville Online
  • Members of the Tennessee Army and Air National Guard competed in Bulgaria's first multinational Best Warrior Competition at the Vasil Levski National Military University, June 23-26. The event—featuring 12 teams and testing combat skills and endurance—strengthened Tennessee’s 32-year partnership with Bulgaria and NATO allies.  Clarksville Online
  • On Friday, June 27th, the new Millan Public Parking Garage opened at 90 College Street behind F&M Bank Arena, offering 513 parking spaces across five levels.
