- ➤ Madison Kunst, Miss Madison County, was crowned Miss Tennessee USA 2025 at Austin Peay State University on Saturday evening and will represent Tennessee at the Miss USA pageant this fall—Aniston Barnette, Miss Bristol, was crowned Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2025 at the same event and will compete at the Miss Teen USA pageant this fall. The city also hosted the Miss Georgia USA pageant where Savannah Miles was crowned, and both winners will represent their states at the upcoming Miss USA Pageants later this year + the event celebrated 25 years of community partnership+. - ➤ On June 26, the Clarksville City Council finalized the FY25-26 budget that raised the property tax rate from $.88 to $.92 per $100 and added 16 new hires along with a 2.5% wage increase for city employees—Mayor Joe Pitts said the measure supports the growing needs of the city. The budget will guide revenue and spending as the fiscal year begins on July 1—this plan replaces an earlier proposal that had called for a 15-cent tax increase. Main Street Clarksville
