Second Harvest Food Bank announced that federal cuts will remove 30% of the food it receives, leading to a loss of about 400 million pounds of food in one year and over 300 million meals in Tennessee over the next decade.

Nancy Keil said nearly 246,000 people rely on SNAP and that the cuts also affect federal food dollars for more than 6,600 local grocery stores & farmers’ markets.
