  • F&M Bank Arena and Ford Ice Center Clarksville will mark their two-year anniversary with free public skating sessions on Saturday, July 19th at 12:30 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. at the Ford Ice Center—this facility has hosted many events and thousands of guests since opening in 2023.  Clarksville Online

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A woman was hit by a vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard Tuesday night near Lealand Drive — Clarksville Police responded at about 9:52 p.m. and LifeFlight flew her to Nashville with her status not released.  ClarksvilleNow.com
  • An injury crash closed both westbound lanes of I-24 near Mile Marker 10 on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m.—the Clarksville Police reported that the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating while motorists are advised to use an alternate route.  WSMV 4

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Clarksville finalized a $7 million deal for the 83-acre former Speedway site at 1600 Needmore Road from William Scogin to create a vast Recreation Complex for North Clarksville that may include an indoor aquatic center and other features after the New Providence pool dome was damaged by a wind storm in spring 2023 — the purchase supports cost savings on the Needmore Road widening planned under Transportation 2020+. The sale includes a one-year lease back to the seller and the city will begin right-of-way acquisition later this year.  Main Street Clarksville
  • City officials in Clarksville urge residents who suffered recent flooding to apply for FEMA disaster assistance by Aug. 19th—those who disagree with FEMA decisions can file an appeal within 60 days with new documents.  ClarksvilleNow.com
