The service is offered once on weekdays—metered parking is not free on Mondays.

City officials announced that construction on the first phase to realign Dunbar Cave Road at Rossview Road is complete and the road is now open for motorists—more work will continue to connect to Cardinal Lane in time for schools to open next week.

The project is part of the Mayor’s Transportation 2020+ Plan.

The Montgomery County Highway Department is constructing a roundabout at Rollow Lane and Dunlop Lane, which has been closed since spring flooding.

If weather cooperates, the project will be finished by late August — officials said.

A housing needs assessment by local planning officials shows that Clarksville will need 15,000 new homes over the next five years as the area grows by 5,000 to 6,000 people a year, with at least 7,600 units needed just to keep pace.

The study recommends expanding affordable rentals, updating zoning codes + improving housing quality to meet rising demand.
