- ➤ Austin Peay State University's Eriksson College of Education welcomed 48 new teacher residents during its Grow Your Own Teacher Residency signing event held on July 21—22 at the Morgan University Center Ballroom in Clarksville, where teachers from rural counties and local schools signed contracts lasting three years. The program, now in its seventh year and recognized as the first federally registered teacher apprenticeship, offered full-time pay with a tuition free degree while planning to expand enrollment in the future.
