- ➤ Austin Peay State University and F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville are set to host the second annual Peayple’s Concert featuring rap legends Waka Flocka Flame and Boosie Badazz as doors open at 6:00pm on Friday, September 26th. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, August 8th with APSU students able to join a presale on August 7th starting at $20 while general tickets cost $30—promising a high-energy night with DJ performances and live rap shows. - ➤ Montgomery Central senior Noah Thomson won a 2025 Toyota Corolla on Saturday at the 17th annual Wyatt Johnson Automotive Pass and Go event when his key started the car, and he was shaking with excitement. He was randomly chosen from over 1,124 high school students who passed Advanced Placement exams (with prizes such as gas cards, a Chromebook, and other rewards given to more than 25 students). - ➤ Today the Tennessee Higher Education Commission announced that high school seniors in the Class of 2026 can apply for the tuition-free Tennessee Promise scholarship at eligible schools and that their application will also count for the new Direct Admissions Pilot Program—applications are due by November 3.
