  • Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library is hosting its Touch a Truck event today where kids and families can explore heavy equipment, firetrucks, and police vehicles as the summer reading program begins with nearly 2,000 families present.   • Austin Peay State University held its Summer 2025 Commencement on Friday at the Winfield Dunn Center where 13 student-athletes and staff earned their degrees.   • Kenwood High School hosted a preseason football scrimmage against Rossview High on Friday—both teams making electric plays as Christian James threw touchdown passes and Dawson Deer showed promise as a first-year starter.   • The Northwest High Vikings overcame a large deficit—scoring late in the fourth quarter and intercepting a final pass—to secure a 14—12 scrimmage win at West Creek High, boosting their season opener.
