- ➤ The Customs House Museum & Cultural Center hosted its 41st Flying High fundraising gala Saturday at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel with over 400 guests enjoying dinner, music and auctions to benefit museum programs. - ➤ The Tennessee Department of Education and the Tennessee Education Research Alliance released the 2025 Educator Survey results that show math teachers support the curriculum, nearly 90% of administrators say evaluations improve teaching, and over 80% of teachers plan to remain in their schools—new questions on artificial intelligence and cell phone policies were also included. - ➤ CMCSS seniors may be eligible for the TN Promise, which will help pay for tuition and fees if they meet mentoring, meeting, and community service requirements, with applications due November 3. The school district will host a Stop, Drop, FAFSA event from January 20 to January 23 and FAFSA Night on March 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Central Services South, 1312 Highway 48 — these events aim to help students understand and complete the FAFSA process.
