- ➤ A three-story home on Black Oak Circle in north Clarksville was destroyed by fire on Labor Day when fire crews arrived at 5:50 p.m. and put out the blaze by 6:33 p.m., with no injuries reported — officials evacuated all residents and the American Red Cross is aiding the displaced family. - ➤ APSU’s College of Education will hold its first Aspiring Teachers Day on October 2nd — the event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and gives high school juniors and seniors a chance to see classroom demos, use VR tools, tour the campus, and enjoy free lunch while teachers must RSVP by September 5th. - ➤ Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools earned a Level 5 score for student growth on state tests for the 2024-25 school year, marking the second year in a row with this top mark.
