- ➤ On Saturday, September 13th, 2025, hundreds of visitors filled Fort Defiance for Sevier Days—an event that brought frontier life to the public with blacksmith, musket, and cooking demonstrations honoring Valentine Sevier. - ➤ AAA said that Tennessee gas prices fell by six cents last week, and the state average is now $2.78—while Clarksville rates at $2.71 per gallon. Cooler fall weather, lower fuel demand, and steady crude supply helped spark the change. WGNS

- ➤ Nashville State Community College’s Clarksville campus was approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing to serve as the site for a new Associate of Science Nursing program starting in Fall, with classes beginning in late August and 24 slots available when applications open Jan 2 until June 1. The campus on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard is being renovated—phase one will finish by the end of 2025 and phase two will complete the current space by the end of 2026. Main Street Clarksville
- ➤ Fort Campbell Middle School opened on Sept. 12 at Fort Campbell, replacing Mahaffee Middle School from 1967 and serving 645 students in grades 5-7. The new $62M facility features an open concept design with high-tech learning pods—built for modern instruction—and hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony led by military and school officials. - ➤ Austin Peay State University opened its 114,600-square-foot Health Professions Building on Sept. 11 at the corner of 8th and Marion Streets to consolidate healthcare programs with simulation labs and active learning classrooms—helping prepare students to address workforce needs. - ➤ Google announced a $100,000 donation to APSU’s Southeastern Grasslands Institute in Clarksville to restore Spring Creek Watershed and improve water quality.
