- ➤ Bryan Barrett interviewed Misty Ratcliff from the Salvation Army to discuss plans that will help the community. The organization will host the Red Shield Dialogue on Thursday, October 2nd at noon at the Center of Hope on New Salem Highway—focusing on how adults and children experience homelessness and previewing the holiday season with the Angel Tree program and Red Kettle campaign that need volunteers. - ➤ A portion of D Street on the Manna Café Ministries property was renamed Kenny York Memorial Way on Tuesday morning to honor the late founder whose work helped address homelessness in Clarksville—officials and community members gathered at the chamber event for the ceremony. - ➤ The annual Just Plane Fun Day will take place on Saturday, September 27th at Clarksville Regional Airport — Outlaw Field and will offer free admission along with static aircraft displays, live music, kids’ activities and vendors with both free and fee-based attractions.
