COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Clarksville’s 29th Annual Best of Clarksville event will take place on October 2nd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Governors Square Mall, where families will enjoy live performances, food sampling and local business voting. The fundraiser benefits nonprofits including 3 Friend’s Animal Rescue, Nurture House, Judy’s Hope and Legend’s Hero’s (tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the gate and free for children 12 and under).  Clarksville Online
  • Tomorrow, Clarksville will host the Children's Entrepreneur Market where kids ages 5 to 17 will sell their products — families can participate and support their early business ventures.  WSMV 4

CULTURE NEWS

  • APSU Symphony Orchestra will perform a live score to accompany the 1931 film Frankenstein on Thursday, October 9th at 7:30 p.m. at the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall, and a pre-concert talk by Michael Shapiro will begin at 6:30 p.m.—tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children with free entry for APSU students with valid ID.  Clarksville Online

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board announced Points of Pride during its September meeting that celebrated Kirkwood High students—David Lee for earning 1st Place in Classical Art and Ignatius Oelgoetz for a perfect ACT score. The meeting also honored Coach Hetland’s regional coaching award and recognized the board as a TSBA Board of Distinction.  ClarksvilleNow.com

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Nashville Kats will call Clarksville home in 2026 and play their home Arena Football One games at F&M Bank Arena—led by owner Jeff Fisher along with Jon Gruden and Michael Waltrip. The team said the move comes after strong local support was shown by Clarksville and Montgomery County.  The Leaf Chronicle
