- ➤ Montgomery County Parks and Recreation will host the first-ever BBQ Fest Across the River at RichEllen Park on Friday, Oct. 10 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.—the event will feature live music, food trucks, family activities, and unique attractions like the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. - ➤ Local animal rescues are featuring a range of adoptable pets this week — rescues like Montgomery County Animal Care and Control offer fully vetted dogs, cats, and mixed breeds in need of loving homes. - ➤ Nearly 450 people attended an event called Pop the Bubbly at Oak Grove Racking, Gaming and Hotel today to raise funds for Clarksville's Customs House Museum and Cultural Center. - ➤ The Customs House Museum in Historic Downtown Clarksville is the state’s second-largest general interest museum with over 35,000 square feet of exhibit space and hands-on activities and special events—adult admission is $12, $9 for seniors and military, and $5 for children while children under 2 and members enter free.
