- ➤ Austin Peay State University is partnering with Replant Clarksville to boost the local tree canopy as residents order native trees from the annual Fall Native Tree sale until Nov. 3. Tree pickup will be on Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. to noon at Farris & Eighth Street, with proceeds benefiting APSU's Outdoor Education Center programs. WKRN

- ➤ Clarksville has unveiled a new plan to reduce flooding in the Woodstock neighborhood—starting with expanding the basin from 35 million gallons to over 70 million and adding an overflow pipe. City officials said heavy construction traffic will damage roads but plan to repair them when pump installation is added in phase two. WSMV 4
- ➤ Soldiers of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division will return over the next few weeks after a nine-month deployment in the Middle East—where they flew 198 missions and logged over 17,500 rotary-wing flight hours—to rejoin their families at Fort Campbell before the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade takes over. - ➤ The APSU women’s tennis team is heading to the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout Tournament in Statesboro, Georgia today through Sunday to play doubles and singles rounds — they will then compete at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in Knoxville from October 16th to October 20th. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Clarksville beat Shelbyville 28-19 in TSSAA Week 8 football for its sixth straight win after an 0-2 start—Jamarcus Watkins and Ahvare Galbreath each scored two touchdowns. The Leaf Chronicle
- ➤ The Clarksville Wildcats defeated Kirkwood 2-1 on Wednesday to win the District 13-4A soccer title— their first championship since 2021. - ➤ The Clarksville High volleyball team beat Kirkwood High Cobras 25-20, 25-11, 25-15 in the district 13-4A championship game on Wednesday night to capture its eighth straight district title. - ➤ Clarksville Christian girls basketball coach Trenton Hassell was named National Christian School Association Coach of the Year for 2025 after leading the Centurions to four TSIAA state championships and NACSA Division III national titles in his four seasons at the school—his NBA career and strong ties to the local community add to the honor.
