- ➤ The Clarksville Fire Rescue Department responded to a house fire on Fossil Drive around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday night and rescued two dogs and a snake while all residents remained safe though the family was displaced—investigators continue to check the cause and the American Red Cross is assisting the family. - ➤ Today, Traditions First Bank announced that lifelong Clarksville entrepreneur Ronnie Moore is joining its Board of Directors; Moore is the CEO of Moore Construction Co., Inc. (a leading local contractor) and secured a $225 million Tax Increment Financing package for mixed-use development. - ➤ The Clarksville-Montgomery County Board of Education voted on a resolution to oppose HB 0793— a Tennessee bill that would let schools deny undocumented students enrollment— but the measure failed 3-2, leaving current education policies unchanged. The Leaf Chronicle

- ➤ Tennessee wildlife officials advise residents to treat black bears with caution and respect — they should yell, shout, or throw objects if a bear comes too close — to prevent the animals from becoming bolder around human food. - ➤ State officials approved Ascension Saint Thomas and Lifepoint Rehabilitation to build a new 40-bed rehab hospital on the Ascension Saint Thomas Clarksville Health Campus near Highway 76—Interstate 24. Construction will start next year—and the center will care for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, and orthopedic trauma with an opening planned for 2028. WSMV 4

- ➤ Middle TN will see its first frost on Oct 25, and falling temperatures may drop tire pressure by up to 2 psi for every 10-degree decrease according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
