- ➤ Clarksville Parks & Recreation invites residents to join The Hub on November 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kleeman Recreation Center (166 Cunningham Lane) where a free Thanksgiving-style dinner for the first 300 guests, local resource booths, interactive family activities, and drawings for door prizes and 30 turkeys will celebrate unity and wellness. - ➤ Local holiday events will start this weekend with a free market at Madison Street UMC on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.—guests can shop for homemade casseroles, baked goods and handmade gifts while lunch costs $10—and the Rotary Christmas Extravaganza at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center will show decorated trees later on Saturday; a Holiday Market at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. will offer local vendors, crafts and festive décor. - ➤ The Clarksville Arts and Heritage Council will host 'A Southern Christmas Sampler: An Evening of Stories and Songs' on December 7th at 5:30 p.m. at Austin Peay State University Trahern Theatre with performances by David Alford, Paul Carrol Binkley, Jenny Littleton, and Erin Ramsey—Lifetime Achievement awards will honor Alford, Binkley and Don Sharpe while tickets are $35 for one, $65 for two, and $125 for four, with each package including an annual membership. - ➤ Today, six runners from Austin Peay State University's men's and women's cross country teams will race at the NCAA South Regional at the John Hunt Cross Country Course— the women's team runs the 6K at 8:30 a.m. followed by the men's 10K at 9:30 a.m. Clarksville Online
- ➤ The Kirkwood Cobras, the only team from Montgomery County left in the playoffs after beating Brighton, will travel today to face the Page High Patriots (top-ranked in class 5a) in the sweet 16 matchup.
