- ➤ At the Christmas on the Cumberland event on Nov. 23 at McGregor Park, thousands of residents enjoyed handmade gift stalls, horse carriage rides, live performances, and a 15-minute drone show. - ➤ Living Word International Ministries-Clarksville Church will begin cooking at 5:30 a.m. Thanksgiving morning to prepare and deliver hot meals to nearly 1,000 families across Montgomery County. - ➤ The 2025 Bankin' Festival is taking place today at Run-A-Muck Outfitters in Adams with live music, food, and vendors supporting women’s and children’s charities. - ➤ Although the federal shutdown ended, Clarksville Area Urban Ministries is still meeting a sharp rise in local need for food, shelter and financial help after SNAP benefits paused—client numbers have more than doubled from 250 to 688 each month. - ➤ A University of Tennessee Extension study found that the cost of ingredients for a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 has risen 10.5 percent to about $128.50, up from $116.26 last year.
